TradeFilms Production Initiative
The Media Resource Centre and Austrade, in partnership with Enterprise Adelaide & International Business Week announce TradeFilms, an innovative new film campaign aimed at promoting local businesses internationally.
In conjunction with business, the TradeFilms teams will conceive and execute a screen-based marketing campaign that will have a real world application and a high profile showcase as part of UniSA International Business Week (IBW) 2008
Three creative teams will be selected to create campaigns for up to twelve South Australian businesses that will receive a high profile showcase within Austrade’s international presentation of Australian business as part of International Business Week (IBW), 2008.
Successful applicants to the initiative will receive mentoring, a supervising producer and a $4000 cash budget plus in-kind equipment and facilities from the MRC to facilitate the production of their campaigns.
Judi has a background in animation and special effects, having worked at Anifex in Adelaide as Production Manager for 11 years. She not only managed and scheduled all commercials and short films during that time, often juggling many productions at once, but was also responsible for the payroll, company accounts, human resources and facilities management.
She entered the freelance producing realm in 1999, and has worked as a Production Manager for Adelaide, Sydney and New Zealand commercial production companies, as a Project Officer with the South Australian Film Corporation, as a Production Secretary on several feature films, and Production Manager on a short feature film.
Judi works with several freelance directors, and has projects in development with all of them, as well as having:
Co-Produced and Production Managed a live action 15 minute short film and a music video with co-directors Tamsin Sharp and Shalom Almond.
Produced several commissioned documentary projects and a music video for the Hiilltop Hoods with Shalom Almond.
Produced cel animated short films, tv commercials and tv projects with director and animator, Greg Holfeld.
Produced a 15 minute animated educational video, directed by Jess Wallace.
And she is currently working with Monkeystack on website and animated series initiatives.
Judi also works as a freelance Advertising Agency Producer, primarily with Clemenger BBDO (Adelaide) and Proximity Adelaide, on clients such as Workcover, SA Lotteries, Orlando Wyndham, Mitsubishi and Skycity Adelaide.
