The Media Resource Centre announces the finalists for the 2007 SA Short Screen Awards (SASSA) proudly driven by Toyota. Full List of Finalists

The SASSAs are the State's premier competition for local, emerging filmmakers. This year the Awards have been extended to eighteen categories with the addition of an Innovation in Digital Media Award an Emerging Producer's Award, The Office for Youth's Young Filmmakers Award and a Best Composition Award.

For the first time the awards are being presented in partnership with the Adelaide Film Festival with the Gala Awards presentation night will be held on Wednesday 28 February at the Wallis Academy Cinemas, Hindmarsh Square as a highlight of AFF 2007 (Details below).

Best-Of the Awards Screenings Details

 

3 Best-Of the Awards screenings: Friday 16 February, Saturday 17 February and Friday 2 March, Mercury Cinema. Click for Complete Program

Tickets: $11 and $9 (conc) per session

Tickets for the Best-of the Awards Screenings may be purchased in advance by telephoning the MRC on 8410 0979 or purchased in person from the MRC offices.


Made In SA

Made in SA (presented by the MRC and AFF): Monday 26 February, Academy Cinema. With world premiere screenings of three SA shorts supported through the AFF's Investment Fund.

Tickets: $15, $13 (industry) and $11 (conc)

Gala Awards Night

The Gala Awards presentation night will be held on Wednesday 28 February at the Wallis Academy Cinemas, Hindmarsh Square as a highlight of AFF 2007.

Tickets: $15 or $25 including post-event party.
