Office for Youth A-Teams
Innovating South Australia’s future
A collaboration with the Office for Youth and Adelaide Thinkers in Residence

This A-Team will be run in conjunction with the next phase of the residency of Adelaide Thinker in Residence, Dr Geoff Mulgan, a former adviser to British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, and an expert in developing social innovation policy.  Dr Mulgan’s residency is titled: Social innovation: meeting unmet needs.   He is exploring ways that South Australia can innovate to reach a place that South Australians want their state to be in the future.

This A-Team will be called Innovating South Australia’s future.  Young people will have the opportunity to imagine what they want South Australia to look like in the future and what action has to be taken now in order for us to get there.  The A-Team will be structured around South Australia’s Strategic Plan, with six groups of young people focusing on policy innovations around the plan’s six objectives.

The Media Resource Centre will work in collaboration with the Office for Youth to develop six short screen based projects, communicating the policy message of each of the A-Teams.  Small groups of young screen based practitioners will work closely with the young people involved in policy development to create a series of two minute films outlining their vision for South Australia’s future.
