Please Note: Changes to the weekday pick up and drop off times have been introduced recently
at the Media Resource Centre. These changes have been made to allow hirers more time to
pick up and collect equipment, more time to use the equipment, less running around and most
importantly to help you save money!

Terms & Conditions
RENTAL PERIOD
There are two daily pick-up and drop-off times; one in the morning and one in
the afternoon. See page 2 for details. These pick-up and drop-off times have been
introduced to maximise member hire value and service. Pick-ups and drop-offs made
outside the designated time zones may result in delays in service and additional hire
fees. Members returning equipment are asked to show consideration to other members
by returning their equipment on time. The Media Resource Centre
aims to treat all hires with equality in service provision and access.
DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION FEES
The hirer agrees to pay a $50 refundable deposit (for all hired items) together with
the hire and insurance fees prior to removing the equipment from MRC premises.
The deposit may exceed $50 for longer hires. The deposit shall be forfeited, either
in part or in full, if the equipment is returned late, damaged or is lost/stolen, or to
compensate for the use of consumables during the period of the hire. The hirer will be
expected to pay an insurance excess levy for any and all damaged/lost/stolen items.
A cancellation fee of 50% of the hire charge will be incurred by the hirer if less than
24 hours notice is given of a cancelled booking.
INSURANCE
An additional fee applies to items removed from the MRC premises and will entitle
the hirer to be included under the MRC insurance policy for the period of the hire.
The hirer acknowledges that he/she is liable to pay, by way of an extra hire charge,
up to $1000 to satisfy any claim made for loss or damage to the equipment.
This amount will be imposed beyond the deposit amount if the loss or repair exceeds
the deposit amount. |
