Five films will now spend 4 weeks being developed before the final 3 are chosen to go into production.

June 19 - CASTING SEMINAR with Faith Martin
AC Arts. Very limited places. RSVP essential to 8410 0979. Faith has cast films such as Strictly Ballroom and TV shows including Water Rats and Blue Heelers. A free seminar only for those intending to apply to The Company.


THE COMPANY - DETAILS
TAFE SA, Adelaide Centre for the Arts, Acting Department, in partnership with Flinders University Department of Screen Studies and the Media Resource Centre’s Members Production Group are calling for writers and directors to submit character driven, ensemble scripts for a funded production initiative to be completed by 1 December 2007.

Scripts must be no longer than 10 minutes duration, have at least eight characters with speaking parts and will be cast with Adelaide Centre for the Arts, 3rd year acting students.
At least one of the projects will be directed by a 1st year graduate from the Flinders University Department of Screen Studies.

DEADLINE
Applications, submitted in standard, Australian script layout are due at the MRC by 5pm, 13 July 2007.

DEVELOPMENT
Six projects will be short-listed and developed in conjunction with a Flinders University Department of Screen Studies script editor, industry mentors, and a five day, intensive actor/director workshop.

SELECTION
Three projects will then be chosen to go into production and will receive a cash grant of $2,500 and an equipment subsidy of $2,000.
