The Media Resource Centre’s Members Production Group, TAFE SA, Adelaide Centre for the Arts, Acting Department and Flinders University are commissioning three (3) short films to showcase the skills of the Adelaide Centre for the Arts 3rd year acting students – The Company.
Proposals should focus on projects with strong, character driven ensemble elements with at least six main roles in the script. Films must be no longer than 10 minutes in length (approx 10 formatted script pages) and should be achievable on the available budget and in-kind support available.
Proposals should also reflect the manner in which the filmmakers will engage with the AC Arts Acting Department 3rd year acting graduates to develop high quality performance and professional development outcomes.
Each film will receive a cash budget of $2,500 in addition to a $2,000 equipment subsidy from the Media Resource Centre’s Members Production Group.
Applications could be drama, comedy, mockumentary or any other genre that facilitates opportunities to develop unique characters.
To assist in the development of your submission, DVD screen tests and head shots and bios of all acting students are now available from the Media Resource Centre.
On Friday 9 May and Friday 16 May all TAFE SA, Adelaide Centre for the Arts, Acting Department 3rd year students will be available to meet at the Adelaide Centre for the Arts from 5pm – 6.30pm.
