SAFC call for EOI's for their Attachment Scheme

The South Australian Film Corporation is pleased to announce a call for expressions of interest for Drama and Documentary Attachments for 2012.

The SAFC Attachment Scheme attaches South Australian screen production practitioners to a department or crew role of a feature or television series for a four (4) to six (6) week period, in order for them to gain on-set experience that will develop their career in the film industry.

Expressions of Interest for the following crew roles will be accepted for film or television production (both drama and documentary): Writer; Producer; Director; Continuity; Production Accountant; 1st Assistant Director; 2nd Assistant Director; Location Management; Editing; Location Sound Recording; Line Producer; Stand-by Props; Line Producer; Post Production Supervisor; VFX Supervisor.

The SAFC will keep your EOI and CV on file and contact you regarding any relevant Attachment opportunities on upcoming productions.
To submit an EOI, please email the SAFC Contact (details below) with the following:
 Your name
 Crew role you are specialising in (the attachment you hope to undertake)
 Brief statement detailing your background, your interest in performing the crew role in the South Australian Film Industry, and your planned career trajectory.
 Attach a current CV detailing all relevant experience as outlined in the guidelines.
In addition to the eligibility criteria detailed in the General Guidelines, eligible applicants will need to:
 be South Australian residents;
 have relevant industry experience and training (outside of secondary or tertiary education) and are working in the industry on a regular basis;
 have a credit on at least one completed production of a professional standard.

Expressions of Interest may only be submitted by practitioners currently eligible to apply for the scheme.

Full time students are not eligible to apply, but the SAFC recommends that Expressions of Interest are submitted as soon as studies are completed.
