Gameslab

Interactive games are predicted to become a huge part of the screen industry. Gameslab aims to give beginners skills and knowledge about how to make games, inspire them and encourage the growth of networks and teams to go on to produce more content in the future.

Over the course of six Saturdays participants will engage in a series of case studies / seminars presented by local games experts where an element of games production is broken down and examples are shown.

Half of the workshop time will also be devoted to participants producing their own simple flash game. This will give them a tangible outcome and provide hands-on practical training in the entire production pipeline. A final show and tell will showcase the games to other screen practitioners.
