Overview
The Media Resource Centre (MRC) in Adelaide, South Australia is a member of Screen Development Australia, a national network of organisations which support the development of a strong, innovative and diverse screen industry in Australia.
The MRC provides entry-level to early-career film and digital media makers with access to production equipment, subsidy programs and advice on all aspects of professional and project development, production and marketing.
The MRC manages the Mercury Cinema, which delivers a unique screening program to Adelaide audiences and provides local practitioners with the opportunity to screen their works.

The MRC Board is elected by the membership annually at the Annual General Meeting.

CEO Ballistic Media Pty Ltd: Andrew has 16 years experience in the film and media industry working as a freelance designer and art director with numerous feature film, television drama and TVC credits to his name. He currently heads up the CG Society, a global web based organisation for creative digital artists. Working as the Manager, Promotion & Industry Services for the SAFC from 1981-2001, Andrew oversaw the studio facilities, location promotion and production liaison. He also has experience building screen industry organisations, establishing Film Broken Hill in 2002, under the auspices of the NSW Dept of State & Regional Development. |

Lawyer/Partner Hunt & Hunt Solicitors: Shaun is a partner with Hunt & Hunt Lawyers specialising in Commercialisation of New Technology, in particular intellectual property management and strategy. He has a broad range of experience and has introduced intellectual property management systems into both public and private sector organisations. He is the Chairperson of Hunt & Hunt Lawyers Intellectual Property Practice Group, which includes lawyers across Australia and New Zealand who practice in a diverse range of intellectual property areas. Shaun also represents two local Aboriginal communities in their native title claims. . He holds, in addition to law and commerce qualifications, a Master of Science Technology Commercialisation from the University of Adelaide. |
Adele Hann

Associate Director Adelaide Film Festival: Adele managed and programmed the Mercury Cinema between 1988-1996, and 2000- 2004, managing the Valhalla in the late 1990s. She has been the Associate Director of the 2003, 2005 and 2007 Adelaide Film Festivals. She has created a wide range of specialist programs including Women & Film: The Hidden Agenda, the 1993 International New Queer Cinema program and the national FRAMES: Festival of Film & Video. In 1996, Adele worked at the Sydney International Film Festival and co-produced a half hour documentary for ABC TV. Adele was part of the Programming Committee of the 6th Australian International Documentary Conference and has written for Artlink, Broadsheet and Filmnews. |
Chris Houghton

Director, Writer, SA Representative Australian Screen Directors Association: Chris is a graduate of Directing from AFTRS, and has won over 12 short film awards. His films have screen at international film festivals including Cannes. A founding member of QPIX, he also helped co-establish the Australian Screen Culture Industry Association, which later evolved into the SDA of which MRC is a member.
